Frequently asked questions

Answers grouped by request stage — before, during, and after a top-up. If your question is not here, write to support@hafilatpass.com.

Is HafilatPass run by the transit authority?

No. HafilatPass is an independent request desk. We help you send a top-up request; the actual payment is completed on our processor's secure billing page. We are not affiliated with the transit authority or the card issuer.

What do I need to top up my card?

Three things: your 16-digit Hafilat card serial (printed on the back), an amount between AED 10 and 500, and an email address for the receipt. No account is needed.

What amounts can I choose?

Between AED 10 and 500 per request. Presets of 20, 30, 50, 100, and 150 are shortcuts — you can also type any custom amount in the same range.

Where do I enter payment details?

On the next page after the form. That page is served by our billing partner over HTTPS. HafilatPass does not collect or store card numbers on this site.

How long does a top-up take to reflect?

Most requests apply within a few minutes after payment clears. The new balance shows on your next tap-in at any Abu Dhabi bus reader.

Can I use a wallet or bank transfer?

Not at the moment. Our billing partner accepts card payments only.

How can I check my actual Hafilat balance?

Tap your card at any Abu Dhabi bus reader — the current balance is displayed on the reader. The balance page on this site is a demo layout only.

What happens if I need a refund?

Refunds for HafilatPass requests are handled case by case, subject to processor limits. Please read the refund policy and email support@hafilatpass.com with the request reference.

Do you serve Dubai (Nol) cards?

No — HafilatPass is only for the Hafilat bus card used in Abu Dhabi. Nol cards used in Dubai are on a different network and require a different partner.

How do I reach a human?

Email support@hafilatpass.com or call +971 2 447 3120 during weekday hours (Sun–Thu, 09:00–18:00 GST).
